Calling for new ANZA Committee volunteers!
Here’s a statement from one of our current committee members:
“Get Busy! If you left behind a life of work and multi-tasking, Anza gives you a opportunity to bring your varied skills back to the table and all to benefit some really great local charities. Alternatively you can try your hand at something new like president of an international association, corporate events manager, high flying CFO or marketing mogul. Apart from being on a mission to pull a project together, joining Anza means you are working as part of a team again which is a good feeling and makes for some fun.
There’s hours to put in but as it’s all for a good cause you get a great sense of purpose and achievement from the time you give. For me, as charity co-ordinator, the best part of Anza is being connected with the incredible people who run the charities. You don’t meet people like this in normal life. On the trivial side, I also like planning parties and ANZA does great parties!”
ANZA Korea is currently seeking volunteers to fill the following roles:
Secretary: Taking meeting minutes and assisting with the administrative running of the organisation.
Memberships & Registrations: Managing our membership database and registration for events.
Welfare: Managing and coordinating ANZA’s welfare relationships and activities, conducting due diligence and making recommendations.
Korean Liaison Officer: Advise on cultural matters, assist with translations especially for our charitable work, banking and also our dealings with Governments and other Korean stakeholders.
Event Manager: to lead, manage and coordinate events.
Graphic Designer: to work on the design elements of events & publicity.
In addition to these roles, we also welcome volunteers who are interested in assisting with specific projects and or events if and when they arise.
If you have a little bit of time, or a lot of time, or are interested in developing skills or interests in a particular area, please get in touch with us. There are so many ways to get involved so that it suits your lifestyle and family.
Being involved in ANZA is a great way to connect with others in our community and share experiences, support and fun! It’s also a really great opportunity to connect in a very “hands-on” way with some amazing Korean charities and share some special experiences.
For all those who are not Aussies or Kiwis, we welcome you too! Anyone of ANY nationality can join ANZA and be a part of the committee – we welcome diversity.
