About
The Emmaus Welfare Centre was started in 1981 by Father Noel O’Neill, an Irish born Columbian missionary. The centre provides community care for intellectually and developmentally disabled people.
ANZA Korea’s relationship with the Emmaus Welfare Centre has been from the early days when eight government-funded apartments were purchased as part of a pilot program where the centre will provide care for 30 residents.
These apartments were furnished with the help of ANZA, BASS, AWC and the Base Thrift Shop. ANZA supported two of these apartments at a cost of KRW 5,870,000 each for full furnishing over a two year period.
